55645X Arsenal
As the Programmer and Cofounder of VEX Robotics Competition team 55645X Arsenal, I'm extremely proud of what my team has been able to accomplish. Working out of a basement, our three person team has made a name in the Southern New York region as one of the most competitive teams.
Team History
2019-2020: Tower Takeover
This season, 3 person team 11791X Arsenal was born. With little experience, we learned the ropes of competitive robotics, watching teams around us and experiencing loss after loss. Although our season ended with a world championship qualification, our bitter loss in quarterfinals at the state championship fueled us to do better.
Stats
- 1x Tournament Champion
- 1x Build Award
Even with all of our time put in, we saw little success overall. Thankfully, we still had time to grow as a team and gain experience.

2020-2021: Change Up
With no word from our previous organization during the pandemic, 11791X was left in the dust. Beginning our sophomore season, we decided to form 55645X, a completely independent organization working out of our builder’s basement. Unfortunately, with tournaments being held largely online, so few teams competing, and a lack of resources, we did not participate in the season.
2021 - 2022: Tipping Point
Coming back in full swing, our junior year season was by far the most challenging, but this season also marked our team’s greatest period of growth and success. From hardware to software, we faced design challenges that pushed us to our limits. Even team logistics became an issue, as we had no coach to register us for events and create connections for us like most school teams. Thankfully, our hard work paid off as we rose to the top of the region. We went from a relatively weak team to one of the top teams in the state in a matter of months.
Stats
- 3x Tournament Champion
- 1x Excellence Award
- 2x Skills Champion
- 3rd NY State Skills Ranking
- World Championship Qualification
- 1x Judges Award
- 1x Innovate Award
Even with this performance, we’re looking to do better in our final season, Spin Up!
