55645X had a great time at the WAVE at WPI(Worcester Polytechnic Institute) signature event in Massachusetts! With this being our first signature event (tournaments that can qualify you directly to the world championship), we were excited to meet both familiar New York teams and teams from around the country, from Florida to Tennessee.

Going 7-3 in qualifications, we being chosen by 48425A Robosheen in eliminations as the 5th seed alliance. From there we made our way to semifinals, where we were knocked out by the eventual tournament champions 2775V and 9364C. This event was a great learning opportunity for us and a reminder to keep working harder. Next sig event, Wisco!

To start off our senior season, 55645X ranked 5th at the Farmingdale competition. After qualifications, we went on to be chosen by 1569A OMEGA, a team we won multiple competitions with last year! Eventually, we brought home Tournament Champions and Robot Skills Champion. It was enjoyable seeing many old teams come back from covid, including my school teams, which made the competition much more fun and more relaxing to be at. Unfortunately, our autonomous routes were inconsistent, but there’s time to fix them before my next competition. Next up, WPI!
