ARSENAL WINS STATES!! After thousands of hours of hard work and years of competing in the Southern New York region, we managed to win Tournament Champions, Skills Champs, and the Amaze Award for our last states ever. This win shows all of our dedication over the years paying off. What once started as a team of three newbies who struggled to compete came to be the eventual state champions.

Throughout qualifications, we remained undefeated with a record of 6-0 and ranking 3rd overall. For alliance selection, we paired with 1569A Omega and went on to form the first seed. With some close matches throughout the bracket, we eventually made it through.

To put in perspective how far we’ve come, in the Tower Takeover season (2019-2020), out of 7 tournaments (6 regionals + states) our only awards were a single regional tournament and a build award. In the Spin Up season (2022-2023), out of 6 events (2 regionals + 3 signature events + states), we won 8 awards in more competitive tournaments. To put our states performance in perspecttive, out of the best 70 teams in New York, we won the entire tournament. Out of the 12,136 teams in the world, we earned a robot skills challenge score in the top 0.8% and received one of the most prestigious judged awards available. During our freshman year, we barely managed to qualify for the World Championship. This year, we qualified four times over.
