My time at the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas!

Competiting at the Southern New York State Championship through skills, 55645X Arsenal qualified for the VEX World Championship!

This experience has been one of my favorite memories in robotics. Although my team didn’t do too well in the tournament itself, it barely seemed to matter when looking at the bigger picture. Going to a several day convention centered around VEX robotics and meeting renowned teams from across the world in person for the first time, it was like this was what our years of hard work had been leading up to. I made it a goal to walk to every high school team’s booth and collect stickers if they had. I would have liked to see what teams in Asia would have brought to the field, but unfortunately many of them had more harsh traveling restrictions. Furthermore it’s at enournmous events like these that a coach would be useful, but we eventually learned our way around and will be more prepared the next time around. Finally, the food was great and competing outside of New York was a much needed eye-opener to other teams of the world.
